Licences and seats

Waste Metrics Pro is licensed per person, not per site or per bin. The owner buys licences, and those seats are shared out across the team.

Every role needs one

Owner, Manager, Inspector and Insurer — all four. There are no free seats.

The Insurer role is the one that surprises people: view-only describes what they can do, not what they cost. What differs between roles is the price — an Inspector licence is a fraction of an Owner licence, which is what makes a large field team affordable.

Running out

The symptom is an invitation that will not send, or a role change that is refused. The message names the role you are short of.

Your owner adds a licence on the Billing page and it goes through.

Freeing one up

Deactivating someone releases their seat immediately for reuse, and keeps their history intact.

Releasing a seat is not the same as reducing what you pay for. If someone has left for good, reduce the quantity on the Billing page — otherwise the seat sits there, paid for and empty.

Who can buy

The owner, and only the owner. If you are a manager, the Billing page is not hidden from you by mistake — ask your owner.
