Non-compliance reasons

The list collectors choose from when flagging a problem. Configure it under Waste Hub → Settings — it is not in the sidebar.

Non-compliance reasons are the options a collector picks from when they flag a bin. They are what turn "there was a problem" into something you can count and act on.

Where to find them

Open Waste Hub and choose the Settings tile. The page is called Waste settings.

It is deliberately not in the sidebar, which is why people cannot find it. The Waste Hub tile is the only route.

Managing the list

Use New reason to add one. Each has its text, a sort order controlling where it appears in the collector's dropdown, and an active/inactive status.

If the list is empty you will see Seed defaults, which fills in a sensible standard set to start from.

Deleting is safe

Collections that already reference a reason keep it — deleting only removes it from the dropdown for future collections. Your history does not change.

Keep it short and specific

These are picked on a phone, next to a bin, often in the rain. A list of thirty gets used as a list of three.

Name the cause, not the outcome: "Access blocked" leads somewhere, "Not collected" does not.

Who can edit it

Owners and managers.
