Why am I locked out?

It is the organisation's billing state, not your account — a lapsed licence, a failed payment, an ended trial, or paused billing. You keep your role.

Team, licences & account 3 min read

If a page is telling you your subscription is inactive, it is almost never about your account. It is the organisation's billing state.

The usual causes

  • No active Owner Licence — this gates the whole organisation, whatever your own role holds.
  • A failed payment, usually an expired card.
  • The trial ended and no plan was chosen.
  • Billing is paused.
  • The subscription lapsed or was cancelled.
  • No licence for your role — the organisation is fine but your specific role's licence is not active.

Why you cannot see which one

If you are not the owner, the message is deliberately vague and there is no billing button. Your organisation's payment status is the owner's business, not something we show to everyone logged in.

The owner sees the exact reason and a Manage subscription button.

"Organisation membership required"

Different problem: your account is not attached to an organisation at all. That needs us — create a ticket.

You have not lost anything

Suspension is not removal. You keep your membership, your role and your history, and access returns on its own once billing is healthy. Nobody needs to re-invite you.

Complimentary organisations

Some organisations have complimentary access and never see these screens at all.
