Sites and buildings
A site is a contract; it contains one or more buildings. Both are required before you can build a template. Only geocoded sites appear on the map.
Open Sites — the page is titled Contract / Site, because that is what a site is: a contract, containing one or more buildings that collections and templates hang off.
The structure
It is two levels: Site → Building. Every building belongs to exactly one site.
Floor types and room types are not part of this tree — see Floor and room types.
It is not optional
A template needs a site and a building, and you cannot record anything without a template. So sites and buildings come first, always.
Addresses and the map
Give a site a real address and it is geocoded onto the Collection Map. Sites without one still work perfectly — they simply do not appear on the map, and the map will tell you how many are missing.
Default buildings you did not create
Some buildings are system-wide defaults shared across all organisations. You will see them but cannot edit them — that is expected, not a permissions fault.
Importing
Both pages support import and CSV/XLSX export, which is the sane way to load a large contract rather than typing it in.
Still stuck? Open the support assistant in the bottom-right corner and we'll take it from there.
